I did a structured settlement for her & was paid on time.

That's what I'm asked to do - the structured settlement. I don't really know anything about them, anything I need to know?

Re: Kelley's Mobile Notary , g/b/u?

There's usually not a lot to them. Maybe a dozen pages or so, and 4-5 notarizations.
Just make sure you get ID, copy of ID, etc.

also call the SS that hired you, they might want to know

that you're a newbie. They'd be thrilled to help you, rather than have you screw this up for their client.

Quite an assumption there

"They'd be thrilled to help you, rather than have you screw this up for their client."

I've done a few of these and it does not require a degree in Calculus to complete them. Take your time and you'll be fine and take what you see on this forum with a box of salt, including this post.

"Quite an assumption there" - yes it is...if I hired him,

I definitely would welcome his call, and 'guide' him, rather than have him go in blindly and potentially screwing up a job that is relatively simple....maybe that's just me...

Re: Why are all of your comments so nasty, Rivera?

Maybe because of the "red flags"

No notary in Florida by name of Aurelio Cantrell.
No yahoo e-mail for [e-mail address]
And only 18 notaries in the Florida database for your zipcode and none named Aurelio.
And if Aurelio Notary Services is just a fictitious business name, it is not registered with the state of Florida.

Maybe that is why "Rivera' is sceptical regarding your identity.

That is slightly stalker-ish

and none of the info you posted is correct.

I am on this board to learn and share with others. I am not going to get into a drama with you or anyone else.

Re: That is slightly stalker-ish

What isn't correct?

No notary in Florida by name of Aurelio Cantrell.

Check the Florida database - there is no Aurelio Cantrell

No yahoo e-mail for [e-mail address]

Send an e-mail to that address and:

<[e-mail address]>:
Remote host said: 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account ([e-mail address]) [0] - mta1031.mail.re4.yahoo.com [BODY]

And only 18 notaries in the Florida database for your zipcode and none named Aurelio.

Do a search under the zip code you have listed, only 18 notaries listed, none with your name

And if Aurelio Notary Services is just a fictitious business name, it is not registered with the state of Florida.

Not listed under Division of corporations either as a ficticious name nor a corporation name.

So, all the info I posted is verifiable (I only post what I can back up)

Is Sylvia a liar? I think not ...

given her totally ublemished reputation in every respect on this and other boards over the years. But, "aurelio". who are YOU and where have YOU been all this time? Me thinks you are, indeed, "Robert", coming back here under the cover of the "aurelio" alias given your posts look like, smell like and feel like those of the former "Robert". Was Sylvia being "slightly stalker-ish"? Nope ... inquiring minds want to know. Why not just open up, "aurelio"?

BTW, does anyone know if Robert/FL was banned from NotRot?

Could that be the reason for this new alias? Or did he voluntarily leave?

I believe he voluntarily left - at least his Robert/Fl and his TampaBayWedding aliases left.

I've done two structured settlements...

I can't stand them - both were about 45 pages...8-10 notarizations...nothing filled out (signer had to fill out the paperwork) - AND I was told on my first one "we pay for notarizations ONLY" - $100 - 3-4 hours' work, 100+ miles...signer had absolutely no clue what it was about and had to read everything over and "thinka about it"....then wait 60 days or so to get paid....ugh

Second one I did was a bit better - not so far to travel BUT blanks to fill in, 8-10 notarizations but signer didn't have any of the supporting paperwork ready to send back even though on the phone she said she was all set.....THEN I've dropped the package and she calls me and tells me she's changed her mind...please please please (sobbing) get the paperwork back...ugh again

I, personally, prefer not to take them but if I do I limit them to my home county only, minimizing travel.

Good Luck

MHO

Yes, they can be a PIA, and don't usually pay very much.

Structured Settlements = Ugly Baby

I've done more than a few for Stone Street and Peachtree, and in every case I've had to bite my tongue so hard I was afraid I might have to go to the emergency room to have it sewed back on along with a blood transfusion. Just about all were disabled people living in wretched conditions, desperate for money now. Truly sad cases .....

the last one I did, the dude had both his legs cut off...

due to a semi-truck and on coming traffic... from the highway. He kept saying, while he was signing, 'I know what you're thinking, but I really need this money...'

At first, I felt like a wrench for taking on the job...I felt so guilty and sorry for him, but then, after he said that, well, my conscious was instantly cleared and I hurried along, to get out quick.
