Laser Printer Opinions...
Hi NotRot Notaries-I need some professional opinions...My Laser Printer-an HP 1505N puts out about 900-1000 pages per cartridge. I want to get a better laser with a dual tray and wireless interface that will do at least 2000 pages per cartridge. I'm currently buying 6-8 cartridges per month. I appreciate all advice.

I have used an HP 3005 dual tray for about 4 years and i purchase the 51X cartridges that print 10,000 pages. The printer prints about 35 per minute. very fast. they are expensive...$238 but i get the 10pct back from office depot and staples so in the end it is less. i love the printer, have had almost no problems with it.

I use a HP2015dn with dual trays. I buy the 53X extra print cartridge from Amazon.com for $130 to $145 each. When you buy over $150 from Amazon you receive free shipping. Is drop shipped from a different supplier each time. My wife usually buys books or something to boost the purchase above $150. My computer guru advised me to always buy new cartridges and the printer will last longer. I have used it 2 1/2 years with no problems. It is networked to two computers. I bought it on sale from Office Depot or Office Max. When the low ink light comes on I shake the cartridge several times and only insert a new one when the printing fades. Thats all.

I have a HP 4250. It has lasted for 4 years with no problems. I did just order a maintenance kit for it. The cartridges are $160 and print 10,000 pages. You can buy the x cartridge and that will print 20,000. It is a dual tray printer. If I had to buy another one I would buy the same.

Thanks for all your opinions-I actually just bought the HP 4250 brand new for $180. Maybe I can get a good price on the ink from Ebay!!

Just curious ... have you all shopped eBay for remanufactured toner cartridges? If I had to pay $150+ for every cartridge, I wouldn't be able to turn a profit! I think I pay about $40 or so. By the way, my 4250dtn is at 259K prints and going strong. I could not be happier with this printer. It's flashing for a maintenance kit, but I'm waiting until the print quality is less than 100%. In fact, I like this printer so much I'm looking into a second as a backup. I have an old 4si, but it weighs something like 100 pounds.
