Notary Phone Book
Awhile back I signed up with Notary Phone Book (yes I already know it was stupid) made my profile and for the most part didn't think about it again for awhile. Then a few weeks ago I went in to update my profile and did a search for my zip code. I didn't show in my zip. The closest one was 38 miles away and the next closest was 157 miles. I checked my profile to make sure I hadn't mis-typed my zip and it was correct. So, I sent them a message to check it out. By the way, if I just put Oregon in I am listed but what company is going to look through every listing for Oregon to find one in the area they're looking for... Anyway, I didn't receive a response, so I sent another message, nothing again, sent another one and now am sending one every day. Nothing!! Tonight I called paypal and they are contacting them with a dispute. They told me that if others have had the same problem they would like to know about it, even if it's been a long time. So, the point of this is one to let others know of the problem and two to ask anyone that's had a problem to dispute it with paypal. I may not be able to get my money back, but hopefully no one else will waste their money.

i think you're only one on here who signed up with them
Ask for a refund. See what paypal says. Good luck and keep us posted.

Another new one just popped up: USA Notary Guide
Looks like it's brand new. The give-away to me is that the website seems to be addressed to the notary they'd like to get as a paid member, not to anyone who might be looking for a notary. And I got the impression that their so-called better paying clients don't exist yet. To top it off, only their member clients will able to see the notary listings. Reminds me of XYZ... And like the situation with the OP, you don't know if you'll ever get anything for your money.
Just another attempt to separate us from $39.95. Seems like there's a new one every week. If you're tempted, just ask yourself if you were a title co, why in the world would you go to some brand new unknown directory rather than going to one of the well established ones with a much larger database? (Especially if you wanted to get someone with experience who knew the ropes.)

Please, don't waste your money...
I must get at least three emails a week from companies who claim to be the "Best Notary Directory On The Planet, and This Is THE Best Website Where All Title Companies Search First To Find The Best Notaries!, blah, blah, blah!!! What a bunch of BS!!! It's all wishful thinking, and they really don't have anything better than anyone else. They are just hoping that enough notaries will fall for it and pay the money, and then they'll walk away after doing absolutely nothing. It's called EZ MONEY!
