Printers compatiable to Windows 7

I recently bought a Windows 7 computer and have an older model HP printer and have to download drivers and that works for a while then all of a sudden my printer stops and tells me to add a printer. Friday evening it stopped in the middle of a package and I had to change to my backup computer. Does anyone know of a good printer that is compatible to a Windows 7 computer.

I've not had any problems with my HP 4200 dtn since I downloaded the windows 7 drivers.

I have an HP2015X as well as an hp 2055d. I had a lot of issues getting them to work with windows 7 and spoke with the Techs at HP. The final assessment was that windows 7 was really introduced too early and they are having difficulties with printer drivers, even though they say they are compatible. The drivers they do download are generic and, for the most part, work. However, my 2015X keeps going offline and that is a real pain.
I think they are going to resolve the issues but it will take time.

Thanks to both of you for your input. It's really aggravating for the printer to stop and you have to unhook one computer and hook up another. Thanks again.

Lavergne, I don't know if you have a laptop but if you do it might be worth adding the software for your printer to it. If something goes wrong with the desktop which always does at some inopportune time, then you juast take the laptop and hook it to the printer with a USB cable and at least you're back in business until you fix the problem. This has saved me a number of times including this morning.
