What is it about Nation's Direct?

I'm to the point now where I work almost exclusively with title companies and lenders. I got an email this morning from one of my BEST title companies that they are now going to outsource to Nation's Direct. I called them to make sure my eyes were not playing tricks on me. It is true. The scheduling department is also letting a lot of folks go Frown

I thought the recession was ending.......

What a shame. I guess the TC is thinking it is a good idea to farm out the work. They lay off people and send their work to some horrible SS who probably gave them a low ball price per closing. In turn, the good Notaries don't get the work, the Title company gets screwed with poor work and Nations Direct makes more money. What do they care? Their reputation is already in the toilet with the people who know them. In the long run, the TC also will have a problem getting their work back to the lenders because of closings that have to be redone. Too bad the TC can't see the forest because of the trees.

Holly crap, I hate Nations!!! I'm a Maryland closer (TIPIC), which title company? WOW, I can't believe this is happing. Its bad enough that it's very slow, now this happens. It's not worth working in this industry any more, if this is the trend.

WHICH TITLE COMPANY ????

I don't understand why someone would make an effort to post but not share the most important information. Couple posts ago someone started a post with a SS which will remain nameless. When names are not given, the credibility of the post becomes questionable. If posters dont want to share names, perhaps they wouldn't mind having restricted use of S/C.

Re:I am going to get slammed--but

I do take ND, if it is local and the "agree price " is met. Yes less than I would like sometimes but I do not travel for them and they don't ask me to, or do I take them end of month.
. That being said, I have never had to chase my money, am paid promptly and always get paid full price for no signs--no arguement

What a shame. We know ND's rep. I understand that they

are huge & handle volumes of work. Who cares? I won't work with low-ballers like them.
Are these companies aware that they're not getting quality notaries from ND? What a shame for the borrowers, who are paying for the service in the first place.

my sentiments exactly, which is why i didnt name the title

company in the public forum (i can PM it to you). i have a funny feeling that i will be getting a lot of 'clean-up' calls.
