While doing a little web research
I came to a page that had my info on it. Not terribly surprising but this particular page
listed my password to enter. You might want to see if you are listed. I only recognized
one name from the notary rotary community but you might want to check to see if you
are listed.

Interesting that you were able to find this in a web search. They should take a look at their site security as I doubt they mean for this to be accessible to everyone.
I signed up as a test then checked the list again. Lo and behold, I am now on the list but doubt I will get any business from the site.
Did you receive any assignments from Northstar Notary after you signed up with them?

Pretty scary! I don't remember signing up with them. I just googled my name to try to figure out what sites were listing my home phone number and it showed up.

I sent an email to northstar,
Hopefully the page will get pulled today.
You can indeed edit info of anyone listed. I was listed
and was able to delete all of my info with out signing
in.
This is a rude wake up call for me. While I use
pretty secure passwords (letters/upper and lower case
and numbers) I frequently use the same password for
different sites. Any website could goof and let a page
like this get posted.
Now the hard part will be coming up with a unique password
for each site that I can actually remember.
Paw, firefox lets me click a box if I want to remember
a password, is there any danger in doing that?

NotRot inhibits us from entering the complete URL
You need to copy and paste it, or manually enter it, on your address bar, stripping out the spaces.

I certainly hope not, since I too use Firefox's password memory. Obviously, anyone using your computer would have access to the list. If you're the only user and you inhibit internet access when your not there, then no one else would have access to the passwords. There are products available for password and form management. One of the better ones is RoboForm. And it does work with both IE and FireFox.

I dislike RoboForm as it has made every puter I ever installed it on run sloooow.
I also have had two different techs in 2 different states tell me not to use it.
I use KeePass. It will generate and remember your passwords, you can lock it with a master password.
