beware...
I have been getting alot of calls from one specific company & it suddenly got ridiculous. Aside from the amount of mileage it was racking up, if a time didn't work for me they wanted me to call the borrowers and work out a time. This was happening alot. For one particular signing, I said I wasn't available, they wanted me to call them, which I did, left a message, they never called me back. Then this morning at 7 am I get a call that the signing has been rescheduled for today at 1 pm. I told her I was busy all day, which I was, and she wanted me to reschedule with the borrower. I was busy doing inspections at the duplexes I manage and told her so. I did not have time to call the borrowers and when I finally was able to at 1 oclock, they were pissed and told me that someone had called and confirmed the 1 oclock timee with them already. I caled the SS back and told her, she got nasty about iteven though I had told her hours ago that it didn't fit in my schedule and I just checked my email and she cancelled evry signing that was scheduled with her in the future. What kind of immaturity is that? And why is it my job to schedule or reschedule evry signing?

I wish I had your problem
a company sends you all their closings and lets you schedule them in according to your needs? What is the problem?

Re: I wish I had your problem
I have to admit, that was my first thought as well. I absolutely love it when a company tells me to call the borrower and set up a time. I wish all my companies did that or talked to me first before setting up a time.

Re: I wish I had your problem
Yeah... I agree. Having the companies let ME call the borrowers is exactly what I'd want.
If I left a message and didn't hear back, I'd continue to try reach them.

apparently she is one of the lucky few with a job outside
of doing closings...inspections right? Nice. But you can't expect the SS NOT to get pissed when they use ONLY YOU for their closings. But let me ask, did you know you were their exclusive NSA?

This Century isn't the mod company is it Donna? I thought they were put out of buz. Maybe they opened as a SS. You were up front with the SS their behavior was unacceptable.

Thank you Ilene, I'm glad you got what I was saying. They weren't leaving it up to me to schedule them, but rather to try to convince the borrowers to a reschedule from what they had already scheduled. That does not sit too well with alot of borrowers.

The rest of us "got" what you said, which was (from your first post):
<<<......... if a time didn't work for me they wanted me to call the borrowers and work out a time. .........and she wanted me to reschedule with the borrower........And why is it my job to schedule or reschedule evry signing?>>>
From YOUR statements, it sounds like you had free reign to schedule this SS's signings according to the needs of your own schedule. If that were not the case, then it would have helped to have responded to the first person who concluded this and clarified what you meant.

Donna, I think we all got it
It was scheduled for 1. When your hiring party called you at 7 a.m., you said you weren't available at 1. They gave you the opportunity to call the borrower and work out another time that might work for everyone. I think most of us would love that. I'm extremely grateful for the companies that allow me to try to move a closing time when it conflicts with another appointment.
Just my opinion Donna, but I do think it could have been handled better. You didn't call the borrower until the time they were expecting someone to walk through the door. I can see how a borrower might not be happy about that. And it left the hiring company scrambling to find someone else. If you call earlier, maybe the borrower would have been agreeable to a different time. And if they weren't, it would have given the hiring company a chance to get someone else there at 1. I understand that you were very busy in the morning, but I think it was important to find the time to make a quick call. I do think the hiring party had a reason to be upset. It is very unfortunate that they reacted by pulling everything from you, especially if they were a regular client that you've done good work for in the past. Maybe it's not too late to have a conversation about it with them? If it were me, I'd tell them I was overwhelmed that morning, I dropped the ball, it won't happen again.
