call escrow?

What does it mean to call escrow if a company refuses to pay? How do I do this and does it work?

Was it a signing company that hired you?

yes, Sunset signings and Vipclose. Neither will answer my calls or emails or faxes. I called the title companies and they were paid for My work.

Re: Sunset

Should be no surprise ==> no pay. Both "Sunsets" have a pretty terrible reputation on SC. Looks like you'll have to pursue collection measures much stronger than simply calling escrow, who probably won't be much help anyway. Good luck.

On the west coast, title companies are also referred to as escrow companies. Sounds like you've already called escrow.

You might do a search using the orange search button. I think VIP Close was discussed the other day.

thank you for the comments, any suggestions? The Title Companies were 0 help, they could care less.

Have you faxed them a stern collection letter?

Call, fax, e-mail--rotating daily or several times a day until they 'see the light'. Good luck.
Still, while 'escrow' or TC won't pay you, it doesn't hurt that they know that the SS they hired doesn't pay the notary. Most do care; some don't. But, you can look at it this way: they sort themselves out into our G/B/U categories.

Thanks for the help, I have just finished a stern letter and will be faxing it momentarily. I will update with the results.

Sometimes it helps to fax the letter daily, along with copies of the fax logs from the previous transmissions. It's called "progressive faxing", and I used it when I was a total newbie and stupidly accepted a couple of assignments from SOX. I think I was up to about 15 pages per fax transmission when they emailed me and asked me to stop - the check arrived a couple of days later...
