fyi title producer license--Maryland

I applied to renew my tpl, with the affadavit of independent contractor, and no surety bond. Received new license in three days.
I have had a wide variety of reactions and requirements, from ss. But no resistance, nor hesitation. They just need time to settle in

Interesting. Let us know what happens in the coming weeks/months. Right before the requirement kicked in I got a handful of requests from SS asking for the TPL/affidavit. Since 7/1 about half the calls I get ask for it. Many still do not.

last week someone asked if we still needed to put our address on the deed if we intend to maintain our own bond. my guess is yes, but i'm not sure.

I have one ss that sends an aff, with conf. to put in package. I faxed a lot of items to most of my best ss. TPL,aff.copy of bulletin, felony check, list of underwriter for whom I have approval.
Nations signature requires I put a copy of tpl in package. all were advised, by me, or by way of the bulletin that the tpl and address etc wer required on deed.

All in all, it has been quiet, with nobody asking anything.

One has nothing to do with the other. Mia told me there will be stiff penalties if the tpl info is not on docs
