Thanks for the kind words Ilene, but ........
Since my beta release client expired, I haven't revisited Windows 7, so I don't know all the issues that someone might have. Also, I have been involved with another project so I have spent a lot less time keeping up on computer issues.
Donna,
I assume that instead of using the web based version of yahoo mail, you pay extra to use it in an email program such as Outlook or Thunderbird? Did you ever have it working in 7 or are you just trying to configure it now?
If it's a new configuration, them be sure you are logged into Windows 7 as an administrator. Click on "help" and search and it will tell you how to do that. You may have to re-install your email program, but make sure all your programs are up to date and you have administrator powers before you even go there.

I also have a problem with Windows 7 but it's with my Microsoft Outlook application. The only way I can describe it is if I go to SC and click on an email address I get a menu of applications to use to send the message. When I click on MO I get the following message: "The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using". Don't have a clue what this means so as a work-around I highlight and copy the email address, open up MO via the Start Menu, and paste the address in. If you know how I can fix this I'd greatly appreciate it.

OK, talked to a friend
Old outlook doesn't work with 7. Need this

Also, Windows 7 has a Windows mail included.
Another option is using Mozilla Thunderbird.

Re: OK, talked to a friend
Thank Glenn. Unfortunately my budget won't allow for the upgrade to Office 2010 just to get Microsoft Outlook to work. The other options are fine but that would mean I would need to create another email account. (I already have two others). I stick with the work around for now but thanks again for responding.

I hear you!
Not spending anything right now unless I have to. Otherwise, I would have Windows 7.
Why would you have to create another email account to use Thunderbird or Windows Mail?. Just download Thunderbird, configure it to your current email account, transfer settings when it asks, set it as default and presto, should work.
I use it for the same account on both my desktop and laptop. I simply choose in the preferences to leave email on the server and delete it manually when I choose. That way I have access to the same email on both computers.

Re: I hear you!
Glenn thanks again! I'll try that. I didn't realize that I could configure Thunderbird to my current email account.
