I don't know, but I had quite a few title companies go out of business that owed me a few hundred dollars each that didn't pay. They probably handled their money the same way--not necessarily gambling, though.

stiffed me for $400 five years ago shortly before they folded. It was early on in my NSA career. Fortunately it hasn't happend again but then I'm not as trusting as I was back then.

Don't you wish the penalty was equal to the crime?

The penalty, as spelled out in the article, is 10-year jail sentence and $20K fine or 20-year jail sentence and $100,000 fine.
