Amtrust E-Sign
Did my first e-sign in months. I almost blew it so I figured I'd share my experience in hopes it will help someone else.
First and foremost, I usually log on and view the e-sign docs at least one hour before the appointment. I neglected to do it for some reason. When I got the BO's home I could not remember my password. Figured it out BUT because it'd been awhile since I'd logged in, the site asked me two security questions. Amtrust's E-Sign does not ask the typical security questions and I created these q & a's over a year ago. I also think there are about 4 differenet security questions that get rotated through. It worked out but I hate the fact that I put myself and the BO in that situation. It was after 8pm so there was no telling who I was going to get on the phone for password reset help.
Secondly, the dashboard changed. When I logged in I was directed to a landing page that looked nothing like what I expected. After a few clicks here and there I got where I needed to be. It isn't rocket science but when you have the BOs looking over your shoulder, following your every click, it's kind of obvious when you're fumbling.
If you don't do these closings on a regular basis it's really important that you log on to keep that password active and so that you are aware of the subtle changes that are made.
