Anybody get sent wrong docs from Placer Title ?

They sent me the wrong documents last evening for an appointment this a.m. & I have been unable to contact anyone at they're office & there is no 'after hours' number. I am thinking that they may have sent my documents to the other notary who's document I have. A slim chance I know, but it could happen...?

Not from Placer, but it has happened twice with other

companies. Too bad you can't reach anyone to get it corrected.

I've never had an entire set of wrong docs but I had a partial package that was somehow tacked on to the end of a package. Glad I noticed.

Re: I would call the borrower who you have docs for...

You can find their phone number in the residential loan appellation. Maybe they can help you track down the other notary and you can exchange docs. Just a thought.

Re: What Placer office? ...

... it is the Rocklin office & it looks like they are gone for the weekend.

I hesitate to phone the borrowers who's documents I have. I don't think they would like to hear that I have all they're personal information, besides, I don't really know for sure if it was a switch for both parties. And, I have done what I can & will make the calls again on Monday a.m. when everyone has returned to they're desks. Thanks to all for the reply's

Here's there number I tried it but it goes to VM

Placer Title Only

Rocklin CA 95765
Tel: 916-624-8141
Fax: 916-624-7832

hERE'S A LONG SHOT......There has to be an emergency contact number....if you REALLY want to contact them, call the local alarm company and see if they have an account = contact number...also call non-emergency police number, ask for /explain reason for contact info...you will get it or they will make the call for you. It will work..I've done it a few times for various situations. good luck.

Jim, I am all for going above and beyond to get r done, but

calling the alarm co or police is waaaaaayyyyyyy above and beyond my duty.   A mistake has been made and the notary did NOT make the mistake.    After exausting all reasonable efforts to get a hold of them there is just not much you can do at this point.   Lesson learned to Title or LO's.  PROVIDE us an after hours number that will be answered.    It never fails that this happens on a Sat.   I've had many Sat closings that there is no one available and its frustrating to say the least.

I understand...I feel the same way but..

I was just offering some Know how from experience if HE wanted to go through the motion.

I would never do that for a title company/ SS, they could do that themselves........now if you came up missing, well that's another story...LOL

Can you contact the LO? At least let the LO know that you have the wrong docs and the closing isn't happening.

Re: I recieved the Mgrs call...

Thanks for forwarding the information (I need to get those after hours numbers). I did get a phone call from the manager & the lender may have forwarded the wrong docs to them in a folder with the correct name.

In any case, it looks as if the appointment will be re-scheduled to Monday.

Re: Way to go, GOLDGIRL!! You're gooood!

Yes, thank you very much. The folks at Placer Title found the documents needed & sent to me by about 2pm. I was able to complete the signing - about 6 hrs after the original appointment, but it worked. So, once again many thanks,.. & the borrowers thank you, too --- the alternative was after 8pm on Monday & neither of us was looking forward to that!

(& --- my jaw dropped when the office mgr called me at about noon today; boy, was that a surprise !! A welcome surprise, but a very very big surprise, none the less Smile . )
