California trivia
I was sorting out some dusty files and came across my old commissions - all with their pretty gold seals and signed (sort of) by the SOS. In addition to my current commission, signed by Debra Bowen, I have one signed by that lunatic Kevin Shelley. Remember how he was forced to resign and run out of town? Then one from Bill Jones. Do any of you veterans have one from the legendary SOS March Fong Eu? - or better yet, her immediate predecessor Jerry Brown - apparently soon to be governor (again). I think Eu was the first woman - not to mention first Asian - SOS.

In Florida it seems like we are changing SOS by the day; I can't even keep up. I don't understand their method for selecting SOS. I would think that they stay SOS as long as the governor stays the same but that has not been the case in Fla.

P.S. FL commissions have no gold seals and look very cheap
... basically printed off a printer onto some parchment paper, the kind you can buy at Walmart. Nice to know that the state thinks so highly of us

Kevin Shelly signed my first notary commission. March Fong Eu, signed my appraisal license certificates when I was wearing that hat, back in the day.

Same as you... First commission signed by Bill Jones.
I never thought about it before, though. I have two more years to go on the current one - and I might finally get two of the same signatures in a row... But I guess we don't know that for sure yet, do we? Thanks for the little trip down memory lane.
