They're getting desperate, they just called me again for a signing in Hercules which
is in the Bay Area, for a signing tomorrow morning at 10 am. I'm at least an hour away
with no traffic, but at 10 am, with rush hour traffic, more like 2 hours, minimum. I'm just south of Sacramento.
He says, what's your fee, we'll pay it, all the other notaries are booked.
Sorry, I'm not available either.

Sorry, wrong key.

FASS keeps calling you. Have you worked with them in the recent past and accepted their (low) fees? I know for a fact there are plenty of other notaries in the Oakland and Hercules areas. They can't ALL be busy --- maybe just busy when it comes to FASS . Could be you've gone the extra mile for them and now they think you'll do it again ... for next to nothing.

Hold firm!

EOM seems to be picking up. I've already got 1 for today and 2 for tomorrow.

Nope, I can't remember when I lasted worked for them, I'd have to check my records.
And my standard fee is not a low ball fee, it's $XXX, but I add at least another $75 to that
when they call for me to go to the BA.
I have been turning them down, even when they offer to try to get my fee approved.
Like I said, they're getting desperate, maybe they'll get the message sooner than later, at least
one can hope.

How is Rio Vista these days? My friends and I used to do a lot of fishing there and in Isleton a few years back (before all the levees were posted and before I had my knee replacement). Those were some good times ...

Forget FASS. Stick to the ones who pay our fee and respect the notary's worth. Have a great EOM!!

Rio Vista's about the same, just a few more people since they added the retirement
community and a couple other housing developments. We've gotten a lot of retirees out
of the BA that move here and points east. But it's all good.

There are three of us who work that area but not for them. Again put in the zip code and see who the first four names are...almost the same as Oakland. About six miles apart.
