Last 2: wait 100 days and don't let them get into you any deeper than they are.

Someone posted elsewhere that she contacted them about past-due payment...was told "we're on a delayed payment schedule"...
NREIS called me yesterday for a job - told them I couldn't agree to a delayed payment schedule so no thank you...

I have to admit I was tempted to say yes
I hate to turn business away...memories of reading here convinced me I won't be any different..and I can't afford to work for free.

I worked for them 3 years ago and they took 60 days then
That also had some bearing on my decision...in addition to the fact that the last few calls they've been reluctant to meet my fee...

I agree with you on recent and new orders. For someone to have accepted a job from them within the last 60 days or so, IMO, they have asked for the headache's & late or non payment from this company (either by lack of research or unwilling to see the warning signs). For those posters, sorry, but I don't have any advice that may be politely posted at this time.
However, several of the posters are looking for 90+ days past due (120+ days since the job) payments. This means the job(s) were originally completed approximately in Jan, Feb, or March. This is around the time many people were reporting, on a regular basis, that they were not receiving payments from the previous 30-60 days. For those posters, updating is not only helpful to others but may also help them with information to actually receive payment. For these posters, I don't think they can be blamed that much as NERIS past record of prompt and professional pay was highly rated. They were caught in the crunch between good paying times and the mess that is now NERIS.
