I don't know, but I suspect only a tiny fraction of notaries read NR or any notary board, at which time they would see the futility of continuing to work for NREIS. Still, why would anybody? It appears nobody is getting paid. Apparently, there are so many desperate notaries out there that will take anything and it doesn't matter if they get paid or not. NREIS, SOX, etc. I wonder if it's the same in other industries? Or course, there are many industries that are immune because they who can attach liens on homeowners for unpaid work: blue collar guys, utility companies, city-services agencies, child-support, alimony, homeowners associations, etc. But not notaries, of course. But that's another story. In any case, if I hear one more word about NREIS on this board, I'm going to scream! Not aimed at you, Bowie, because you're trying to help others get paid with helpful contact information. My last job for NREIS was Feb. 1 because even then it was totally obvious we were dealing with cheats. And here it is June and people are still crying about payment for jobs done up to last month! Unbelievable. And these are from people who regularly read NR. Yikes!

***It appears nobody is getting paid.***
I have done several closings for NREIS through a large title company, and, since I'm hired by the title company, I am getting paid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that NREIS doesn't stiff the TC for tens of thousands of dollars, which then trickles down to me. Even then, I don't think I will encounter non-payment, just late payment.
***if I hear one more word about NREIS on this board, I'm going to scream!***
Geez, GG/C, start screaming and then maybe I won't wish they all could be California girls. I'd have to go for Massachusetts, or Wyoming, or Vermont, or West Virginia.
Well...maybe not West Virginia. Definitely not West Virginia.

I thought NREIS *WAS* the title company
if not they're a signing service, right? Didn't realize NREIS paid the title company...??
I'm confused again.

No, there ARE notaries who are being paid....not sure how they decide who they're going to pay on a regular basis and who can wait but I've received p/m's and read many posts from notaries who have no problem and invoices are up to date and still taking assignments from them.
I'm not one..I haven't worked for them and they don't owe me money...And NREIS is being discussed on several boards so the word is out there enough that a google search of the company should bring up links right at the top of the first page by now. Any notary who uses their head and researches the company before taking the job should find out.
And I agree...but don't think screaming will help....the venting is sometimes therapeutic...

They are 4 months behind to me. They used to be such a good company to work for. But anymore, not so much., I wont work for them again until they are paid in full for all 5 invoices they owe me.

Gee, I wonder when they'll PROMSE to pay for February signings! I suppose I missed out, since I didn't even get a promise, followed by no pay.
