NSV

I really like this company they're professional and efficient. The pay is above the scale compared to some other companies. I do a lot of signings for them and wouldn't trade them for the world. Not to mention they pay within three weeks of the signing.

Every company will have some type of flaws but over all they are topnotch for them to be less than five years young. Keep up the good work NSV. Keesh

Do you mean NVS? National Vendor solutions?
But if you do mean them, the discussion on them isn't good.

National Vendor Solutions (NSV) They're a great bunch of folks over there. I've been doing closing with them since they opened. I've seen a few negative comments about them on here and just wanted to put my two cents in. Since I've been doing their closing I haven't had any of the negative experiences that some people have wrote about.

Lakesisha, you still have it wrong. It is NVS not NSV.

and..... they are not so great to work for. Many of us refuse to work for them with their ridiculous requirment of not being able to contact the borrower in advance. Did they promise you something to post what you did??

Sorry guys. Need to slow down a bit. NVS.

I take offense to the question, No they did not promise to give me anything to post my comments this is how I feel about them.

Every company has it's requirements and to be honest it's not only their requirements it's the folks that has more power than them. There are requirements that they have to follow just the same.

If the appointment has already been set by the scheduler what reason would you need to contact the borrower anyway? If for some odd reason that you need to, all you have to do is call the lender or NVS and address your reasoning for the need to call. What's so big about that.

there can be several reasons. A signing agent should be allowed to confirm the appointment time personally with the borrower. If the signing agent needs directions they may need to call the borrower (sometimes borrowers are in newer subdivisions that are not on the map). or sometimes the signing agent may be caught in traffic and be running late and need to let the borrower know.
There are more reasons for the signing agent to be able to contact the borrower than reasons for them not to.

Re: Lakesisha, you still have it wrong. It is NVS not NSV.

I for some reason you cannot find the location then you just call the lender or NVS. I map everything as soon as I get the confirmation so I'll know if I need to contact the lender or NVS because of direction purposes. If you're going to be late you have to contact the Lender or NVS anyway because the borrowers maybe as well.

This is not to be taken personal bottom line is I like the company and anytime they call I answer!

Have a Bless Day!

What's so big about that??? I'll tell what's so big about

that. On my 2nd appt with NVS, I was burned. The borrower was NOT home. If I had been able to call in advance, this would not have happened. NVS also only paid me 1/2 fee. This was an EOM closing and I lost 2 other closings due to the borrower not being home. Never, ever again do I leave my house without confirming first. I need copies of ID and in IL I cannot accept anything but a current, valid DL or passport.

It is a big deal to many of us. Most of us do NOT leave our homes without confirming first. NVS tells you, like they did me, that it is not their requirment but the lenders. I believe about 1/2 of that. Do as you please but eventually you will get burned also.

I'm sorry if you took offense to me implying that they told you to say good things about them. Its just many of us don't have such good feelings about them and it surprised me to see such a good comment about them. Just assumed they put you up to it. Do a search here and see what others have said about them.

Each person is different and so are their experiences. I've been working with them for almost 3yrs and I haven't went through any of those things.

When you look at it all companies have some form of fault what are we to do not take any signings at all.

How can you have been working for a company for almost three years when they didn't even exist until April 2009?? Even their "oldest" company didn't exist until February 2008.

You're joking, right?

You need to be able to contact the borrower to confirm the appointment and make sure all signers will be there and have proper ID (with copies, if required).

You also need to be able to contact them in case the docs are late, or you're delayed in traffic, or you get lost (I've mapped out addresses only to find out that the map was wrong). And if these things happen after business hours, good luck contacting the lender or NVS...

There are more reasons why you should be able to contact the BO than there are why you shouldn't. Most folks here will either ignore the requirement or refuse to work under those conditions. It's nice that it has worked out for you so far, but if you trust a scheduler to do some of the basic stuff you should be doing, sooner or later you WILL get burned.

I'm glad it's working well for you. I did a few for them--

large packages, lower fees, couldn't call the borrower, etc. They finally stiffed me for a print fee.
