Pacific Document Services-Paul Gambs- Brentwood CA
The last week of last month I had 3 modifications with Paul in a matter of days. We are Paypal right now and thats been working fine. But this time he since he had 3 he could just pay the one time to make things easier. I like an idiot said okay. I was hesitant but agreed. I invoiced him on 3 seperate invoices. The last one appears to be a misclick because I was paid right away for that even before it was completed. I think he just clicked the wrong button. I've not been paid for the other 2 and he won't answer my emails. I can't get anyone to answer the phone. There are several choices of people to talk to when you call and I've tried all of them. No one answers the phone. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is Pauls own business and he has family/friends working for him or just how large this Atlantic-Pacific Document Services is. I have a few other resources that I've not tried yet but was just wanting to get that information first.

You got exactly what you deserved
You already knew what a douchebag he is, or you wouldn't have been working on a Paypal only basis. You made the choice to do it anyway, he found a way to screw you and he did. That's what you get when you decide to work with a thief.

Shouldn't you be paying your bills prior to taking off?
Glad you spoke with Anita - hope she confirms this. But, I guess she may not as she is waiting to see if indeed this is true.

Wow, is that a threat, Paul? I must say that's pretty bold, considering how much you have ripped off from notaries!

The funny part is
that I've never even worked for him. My opinion of him being such a douchebag is simply from his postings on this board, and my opinion of him being a thief is from what so many other people have written about him on this board.
Notice how he took the time to respond to, and try to intimidate me, but didn't bother addressing the original poster who he ripped off? DOUCHEBAG LOSER.
And yet, even after he writes that stuff, we still have people in this thread defending him. And he'll eventually screw those people over, and they'll deserve it just as much as the original poster did. And yes Letty Marquez and MW/VA, I'm talking to you. It's people like you that enable this crook to stay in business and continue to steal from your peers. That makes you douchebags as well.
One of the last times I commented about him on this board I ended up with about a dozen harassing calls from him in a single day. I wonder if he really has the balls to show up at my front door this time? That would be amusing.

Oops, my bad, he did do that. But he's still a douchebag loser and theif for a plethora of other reasons.

Paul can afford a vacation? Doesn't sound right to me.
With all those unpaid notaries? Cali is right (again : DOUCHEBAG LOSER.
And I think it's funny that he wants to threaten everyone who has that opinion of him. I'm glad I never worked for him, and know I will never! This guy doesn't have his priorities straight.

Letty, I am going to be in your area next week. I have some accounts from LandAmerica, TitleStream, BancServ and a few other companies that I'm willing to sell you really cheap, and then you can collect them.
Once you collect those fees, you should have enough for a down payment on a bridge I have for sale in Brooklyn.

I also work with Paul w/payment via paypal. I've never had any problem in not being paid promptly. Do you sent the invoice from Paypal (under request funds). That works really well.

I find it unbelievable to accept paypal for payment from
a known non-paying company! Does your mortgage lender accept pay-pal? Does your car creditor accept paypal? Does the electric company accept paypal? Does your cell phone provider accept paypal? No....they do not b/c the expect that you pay them directly or they discontinue providing you with their business service.
It really seems degrading to me to have to accept paypal as a form of payment to ensure that you will be paid! The only way that I would accept paypal would be for general notary work or something on those lines....or what I sell on ebay. If I sold as a professional on ebay....I would probably not even use paypal.
Juice ain't worth the squeeze, in my opinion!
Disclaimer: I have never worked for this company and never intend to. The last time I posted about this jerk-off....he harassed me via PM and I had him blocked!

Re: I find it unbelievable to accept paypal for payment from
I guess you don't understand Paypal. The money goes in & I transfer to a bank account. It's as good as cash. There are many companies, including the electric & phone companies that will only accept cash payments from some people. Any business decides who they will extend credit to.

As you can see by my post I was merely asking if anyone knew the size of Pacific Document Services. I never intened to start all this. Everyone here is fully aware, as I was at the time, of the payment issues with this company. Yes, I probably did get what I deserved, however I was not asking anyone to help me with a bad situation, only to provide me with some information on the company if there was any out there. Paul called me this afternoon and assured me that he would pay the invoices tomorrow upon returning home. I will post that also when that happens. Thank you for your input and sorry to get people worked up today.

Anita, not sure why you needed us to provide you with any information, unless you rarely visit the board. There is a plethora of info about this company on this site, and several others. You would have found out all you needed to know, just by doing a search yourself. Does size really matter? I don't see the relevence.

Usually only with the guys....they are kind of debating that on Leisure forum today.

I don't think it's a matter of getting people worked up. The fact is that this issue has been discussed so many times here that even people who don't do this work probably now have heard of Paul Gambs. Every so often someone posts that they get paid on time and how good it is to work for them. That becomes suspicious in that there are so many others posting just the opposite. The "Nays" win!

I don't know much about him. He obviously does not pay the Notaries he hires. I have talked to him on more than one occasion and he told me he had cut the check and it was in the mail. He lies right to your face and doesn't seem to care about his reputation or his business.
