Just took a call ...... package to borrower ....... we offer $65 ...... sorry not interested ....... but you don't understand that the State of PA says the maximum we can pay for a settlement is $65 if you have to print the docs we can pay $80 ....... sorry, really not interested ..... especially when you start lying to me and giving me crap about what the state mandates for payment. I'm getting so tired of this ......

How far away and who was lender? I just did one of these today. For a friend. One mile from me. only 5 notarizations. They drop package back to Fed Ex.

It was about 35 miles one way ........ so an hour and a half travel ........ 30 to 45 minutes at the table (they did say it was a small package) ....... it will probably tie up 2 - 3 hours of my day........ and when borrowers get the package you're never sure what they'll do to it ........ maybe I've been in this too long but it's still worth more than $65.

This is interesting because I love working for them, hen they cycle through my area( about every four months) and I love their payout schedule.
That amount looks like the pits and if/when they come through again, if that's what they're paying..forget it!
They did drop the payout about $15 but when they hit you with 20+ signing in one month, you give them a little discount. JMO

New thing - unless local is bereft of SA's
They were once good, now dropping price to the ridiculous. Pay schedule same - who knows? Was fast...
Another sign of the times?

Re:I was disappointed when they called last week
and gave me the same line, about the maximum fee in PA being $80 for e-docs. They were great to work for in the past.
After turning down the closing, I got a better offer for the same time slot within 15 minutes. Luckliy, not every co. is pulling those tricks.

I love working for them as well. I like all the schedulers and I never worry about payment. I do take a $10 hit on their Citimortgage closings (they usually ask for $15 off, but I've got to draw the line and they're good about it with me). But only because they're very small packages (about 60 pages) and only because I've been working with them for a few years.
