To those new to this business
First of all, before you start a new business you should have an idea of how you will get your business started.
New businesses generally require 6-18 months before they start to show a profit.
I recommend in addition to reading this board daily you go immediately study online sources on: 1-Writing a business plan 2-Starting a business 3-Running a business 4-Writing a marketing plan 5-Daily marketing a business
And, finally, #6-Finding a niche for your business.
While you are doing that, study your notary rules until you learn them by memory.

I also suggest someone starting this (or any) business talk to their tax advisor since being self-employed is quite different from being an employee. It's very sad when someone comes to me with self-employment income but has idea the implications.
