This transparent attempt by U.S. Certified to clean up their pathetic reputation on Notary Rotary is disgusting. BP would do well to hire these shills who posted today - and by the way, here is the dictionary definition of a shill:
"One who poses as a satisfied customer or an enthusiastic gambler to dupe bystanders into participating in a swindle."
Defines these guys perfectly. And "swindle" defines U.S. Certified perfectly.

Poor James must be in shock over this BS and can't reply. He's probably out at the airport by now driving a bus for his new occupation just to get away from this schlock. And by the way, did we all notice how similar the style of writing is from all of these shills? And how they all say the same things, just in slightly different ways, but yet it still all sounds the same? It's like the two greasy guys at U.S. Certified (at least one of them is greasy because I've seen his hair) wrote all this stuff, then planned this D-Day surprise invasion of NR. In fact, I wonder if any of these shills are real people or are names U.S. Certified made up and posted under ...?

James may be prohibited from commenting as a result of his settlement. Interesting observations, BTW.

I have worked with U.S. Certified Signers for almost 4 years and I adore them! Michael and Stephen are a joy to work with. They are fun, friendly, supportive and extremely professional. My docs are always on time and I can ALWAYS reach them for questions or support (even late at night!). Most importantly, they always pay me on time! I will work for them any and every time they call! I rate them as an exceptional company to work with!

Come on, Harry... DELETE this nonsense!
Seven US Certified Signer @$$-kissing posts within a few hours of each other. Give me a break. Especially coming from the same company that sued one of our members.
I agree with Brenda's post in the other thread - we need to start cutting out the middle man. Signing services are nothing but lowlife scum-sucking scam artists and they need to dissappear. Title companies should be hiring us directly. The concept of a signing service makes absolutely no sense and I still don't quite understand why they developed.

"Signing services are nothing but lowlife scum-sucking scam artists and they need to dissappear"
Sorry Aurelio, but not all signing services are as you described. I have had a signing service since 2003 and have never stiffed a notary yet, and the notary has had a check mailed the day after the signing, not when my service got paid.
Some title companies prefer to call a signing service and give them a list of signings they need completing, so instead of the title company taking their employees time calling several signing agents, they only need to make the one call (or send one fax) to a signing service and let them do the legwork for them.
Unfortunately over the years a lot of signing services have come out of the woodwork that are low life scum-sucking scam artists. But there are good ones out there. Just have to read the reviews.

Re: Come on, Harry... DELETE this nonsense!
As Sylvia said there ARE some good Signing Services out there, and they DO serve a purpose. She is one of the best. Remember all it takes to start a “Title Company” is a cell phone, an insurance license (in some States), and an underwriter. There are today many shaky, right-on-the-verge of going under Title Companies, as well as many that charge $600 to $1000 in closing costs to the borrower/buyer and offer the NSA $50. Some (like Genuine Title MD) just lie, and don’t pay at all. Many large Title Companies (like First American) have their own SS. The smaller Title Companies that don’t have (and can’t afford) the personnel to arrange for and follow up on an out of office closing usually use a SS. This is a risky business with the ONLY one guarantee. If you haven’t been stiffed/cheated/lied to/or treated unfairly…. eventually you will be. JMO

I wish there were more like you, Sylvia!!
And for what it's worth, I've been stiffed by a title co, too. (And I found out that the borrower's got screwed, too. They had to redo the whole loan.)

Re: I wish there were more like you, Sylvia!!
Oh I have been stiffed by an Escrow company - but the notary still got paid the full fee. Notary did offer to give me back half the fee when he found out Escrow company had stiffed me, but I don't operate that way. Notary does job, notary gets paid in full - that is the bottom line - and it was a no sign, but notary was probably there a couple of hours trying to get things straight with lender or Escrow company.

I have worked for a signing service and we had a disagreement where I told them, No I'm not going back out there. They paid me anyway after hiring another notary to do the job. When I sent it back. I never mentioned what a great SS there were, they really showed style and caracter.

James If I covered California I would hire you in a heartbeat There are many notaries on here I would hire in a heartbeat if I hadn't confined myself to Florida only - Bruce keeps telling me I should go nationwide, but I know my limitations

Re: Come on, Harry... DELETE this nonsense!
Thanks JoJo and John - I would be happy to work with you guys. But, as I said I know my limitations. I have had calls for signing agents in other states, in those cases I do find a signing agent and put the title company directly in contact with them (as soon as I ascertain the signing agent can take the signing). But I am happy just covering Florida at the moment - although I am seriously considering closing down, things are slow at the moment (that is an understatement) and there are things I want to be doing with Bruce - like more cruises etc

Sylvia
If you ever get an emergency, must close today/now in the Denver area give me a call. I’ll gladly do it for you. That said…I must admit that if I were in Florida, and they had some of those “Leaving today, cabins not sold, 70% off cruises” I think I’d be on the boat, and not answering my phone.

I'd love to work with Sylvia, too. I respect the
"limitations" issue, but there is a pretty large ss in the "Sunshine" state that has managed to do very well with a "call center" approach. I think you get my drift on this. Maybe it's something to consider. We could all use more ss that treat notaries like human beings and respect what we do! Thanks, Sylvia, for being you!

Well I just woke up and Saw this post and realized it has almost been a year since Mr Michael LeFrancis decided to teach me a lesson and show who's the big boss. The poster, if they ever READ the liability agreement that a California Judge said was nothing they would see that U.S. Certified Signing was making the NOTARY responsible for all LEGAL and ILLEGAL problems they might face. I disagreed with it and thus goes the story. The bottom line is, I did two signing for him and he refused to pay me, still! If it happened to you, maybe you'd understand. He "works" the notaries he chooses to and slams the others. Your choice and my choice whether to work for him.
On another note, I am trying to remain professional so no name calling. One of you posters, I had to "BLOCK" from PM me because of your childish insults, you know who you are. I think you're his mom..

I accepted a signing from this company for tomorrow night. I will let all of you know about their reputation and pay schedule. I have no problem signing their "Notary Liability List" including ...(and I will not participate in any illegal activity while doing so) etc. etc.
P.S. Calnotary is not a new posters, she has been on NR for at least 5 years as I have. I remember the name.
