non payment of fees
is there anyone out there that has worked for national real estate and not received payment for their services? I have not been paid for four assignments dating back to February and March. Any advice as to how to collect?

Do a search here (orange button) or check the linked profile
in Signing Central. I linked it for you. There are two NREIS in Signing Central; read the comments on both. This company is discussed here almost daily. You will find the info you need, with a little effort on your part. I recall names being given on who to contact etc...

I haven't worked for them, but reading about them these past 6-9 mos. has shown me that there is no rhyme or reason to how they are paying these days. It appears that so far people are getting paid, but waiting huge amounts of time, and that their collection efforts to speed up the process are going without notice.
It appears that patience is a virtue here. I do hope that you will reconsider doing work for them. This is despicable behavior on their part. If they are having problems then the least they could do is let people know about them and offer a timetable for possible payment. To remain mute is awful.

Re: Julie, you said it....to remain mute is awful!
I used to do a lot of work for NREIS without a single issue a few years ago. If it was not for all of you posting your negative comments regarding their horrible payment problems now, I probably would have taken recent jobs from them just based on my past experience with the company. I received a call last week, and I told the scheduler exactly why I won't work with them I really do hope you all get paid.

You have to keep checking SC and a couple of other sites. A lot has been posted about this company and there is no reason for you to do 4 assignments and not get paid if you do some research before hand.

We have 5 outstanding jobs that have not been paid by National Real Estate going back to 3/11/10. We have now been telling them when they call that we will NOT do any signings until we get paid. I wish there was something we could collectively do about this. We call every week and are told they will check into it.

I did a signing for them on 2/23/10 and didn't get paid until 7/21/10. When you call they tell you they will send an inquiry to the accounting department. I called every day and all you would get was voicemails. I still have one outstanding that I did in June. I called them today and it was the same story - they will send an inquiry to accounting and there is no time frame on when they will get back to you. I will not do anymore for them.

This has been discussed ad-nauseum since the 1st of the year. I know because I was one of the ones posting. I had worked for this company since 2002, I no longer take closing from them at all and they don't call anymore. It takes about 6 months for you to get paid and if you use the search key and bring up the past threads there are several contact people listed that may help to move you up the list to get paid a bit sooner. Seems that those who complained the most got paid sooner.
Other than not getting paid, my biggest complaint was that they included my fees for Nov 09 & Dec 09 closings on my 1099. They wrote the checks and then didn't mail them until March 2010. They are only supposed to include on your 1099 what they actually paid you. Writing the check and then sitting on it until the end of the 1st quarter doesn't work. I included an explanation for the monetary difference of the 1099 I received from them and the actual amount I received from them on my tax return with a copy of their email in March showing that checks written in Nov 09 & Dec 09 would be mailed March 22, 2010. I did request a corrected 1099 to which they never responded, nor did they send a corrected 1099. I refuse to pay taxes on money I didn't get. I often wonder how many others received incorrect 1099's.

I refuse to do any more work for this company. I have 2 invoices open from June and still have not received payment. I just called and spoke to a Charise who informed me accounting is still working on invoice from July cycle. Not only do they pay horrible but now you have to wait 6mos for a check. On top of that Charise hung up on me when I asked for a managers name in the acct dept.
