What do you mean?? Do you mean like J.B. Wentworth where they buy the annuities or settlements - so the person gets one lump sum instead of a monthly payment??

I used to get quite a few (of the type Sylvia described) a few years ago. However, none in the last several months.

yes ... I have two more scheduled for next week and only 1 closing so far.
However looks like ND is doing good as they call and call ... so you wonder if they have cut a special price and lenders are flocking to them! (which is not really good for us)

It might be that they cannot find anyone to accept the low fees and they are having to keep calling people that turn them down in the hopes that someone will finally accept. Not 100% sure if this is true, but it could be. Smile

If they would offer a reasonable amount they would not have to call so many people. JMO

but wouldn't you think that after saying *no no no* they would drop you of their list ? Smile

Someone hasn't told them that the saying in sales,

"It's a numbers game" means that you have to call on "numbers" that you haven't already called. They seem to keep calling the same numbers and think they will get a "yes" after 10 "no's" from the same person.

if it is J.B. Wentworth that is hiring you, you may not get paid.

I know this is a little different take, but reminded me of

an adorable elderly couple who lives oceanfront, and a telemarketer's call interupted us. He pulled out a quarter, she called 'Heads', he won: grabbed his handy canned boat horn, picked up the receiver, hit 'speaker', and as soon as the spiel started, he let 'er blast. Then they ga-fawed, low-fived, and we got back to business. When she wins, she blows a referee's whistle.

Sorry for the hijack, couldn't resist.

If you are working for JG Wentworth

I hope you are getting paid at the table or up front. My experience with them was one of broken promises and lies. I finally got paid only after sending a demand letter to the legal affairs VP laying out what happened.

Never again, but then again they probably say the same about me. Their loss, not mine.
