My phone hasn't stopped ringing. I wish the same to all of my notary friends.

Yes. Something is definitely going on.

My phone's been ringing as well. It's a nice feeling.

Here, too. I'm tired.

At computer at 5am this morning. Need to leave for next appt in a couple of minutes.

Today's final appt starts at 5:30pm.
It should take a half hour but I might need to treat client to dinner so I can talk with him.

He called me for an urgent 3:30pm appt yesterday. Around noon, he found out his beloved mum was given 2 weeks to live.

He was acting very strange and he is one of my favs: a big hearted very successful businessman. (We sometimes swap marketing tips during appts.) While I was wrapping things up he blurted it out.

Luckily (???) I have been through many deaths of friends and relatives so I know specific things that would help him with the shock, like square breathing, and delegating phoning and flight arrangements to women friends, cousins, etc.

He heard it all and - thank goodness - understood everything. He wanted to treat me to dinner but I said, "No. Go home and be with mum." He is single so he may need a friend with death smarts (???) today.

So he had the worst luck and some good luck yesterday all in the space of couple of hours.

And ppl wonder why we like being independent notaries.

Just reading it now...

Yes, very, very sad. He's fortunate that you were there for him. Some expertise we might feel we'd rather not have, but I imagine it was a good feeling to be able to put your experience to good use by helping someone else. Good on ya!!

Super slow in MA...

Last Fri & Sat were busy & had a few Mon but nothing since. Have just received my marketing materials though & will be working on getting them out tomm & hopefully igniting some business. Wish my husband was back to work so I didn't have to rely on this to pay the bills.

Turned down 4 yesterday due to surgery.

Had rotator cuff surgery (again) yesterday due to re-tear. Wouldn't you know it, turned down 4 callers. 1 was unknown to me. Checked it out on SC & seems I dodged a bullet (TL Signings). Never fails -- take a few days off, on disability, etc -- that's when things get busy. Aw well, hopefully they called my referral ....
