Consumer Title AKA Signature Notary Services

Re: the posts from 3/22/10 in Consumer Title bouncing checks, well I was one of those that had a check bounce. I wasn't real clear as to what was going on with these people but I do now have a real clear picture as to the real problem here.
Consumer Title was owned by Two partners one of whom is Erin Doskocil, the partners split due to irreconcilable differences (whatever that means), Since Erin was one of the owners, and was responsible and had access to the bank accounts, she also signed and cut the checks.

if I have that last one correct of which I did email her at and the voicemail on her cell is full of messages and can't leave anymore, no doubt lots of people who she's pissed off.

Beth one of the gals at her 'new' office/business Signature Notary Services called me today unbeknownst to me who they were, I accepted the job, since I was outside doing yard work on this beautiful spring day, I didn't get back to the computer for a few minutes.
When I looked them up on NotRot, not much info, but the funny thing was they offered me their typical $105, so something right then and there made me think of the $105 I was jipped out of from Consumer and since my mail all ready ran today and no sign of the promised check I was owed that bounced two weeks ago, I thought well let me call on this check again and find out what the deal was.
Thats when I got the low-down from Dan at the 'NEW' CoNsUmEr TiTLe (typed on purpose because that's how I feel about the mumbo jumbo of excuses I've gotten)
Call Dan at 1-216-644-6500
He said that Erin was responsible for ALL payments and her signature is on your checks, and that they don't have access to the data on the computer and that Erin has all that and that they can't and don't know who to pay anyway, NO RECORDS.
So I call back to Erin's office and Now explain to Beth that I was really confused about this situation and wasn't aware of all that was going on and that now that I've finally been able to put 2 and 2 together, I am aware from Dan over at the other company that Erin was connected to this and that she's responsible for payment, so if I was going to be able to do the closing for them tonight, that I'd need to have payment for the job in February. Beth immediately went to Erin's Defense and said she didn't even know if she could get a hold of her! (I'm like yeah right, and I was born in a turnip patch, I've run my own Auto Dealership, also run another Small Business for a Business Owner acting as District Manager and also Helping my husband as a District Manager for another business owner, both of whom lived out of town, As a small business owner, you always, always want to know what's going on with your business, for God's sake.)
Beth Also said that they have no access to the records or info on this and that they are NOT RESPONSIBLE. So now both are dodging, so I called back to Dan and he said that it was Erin's company and she was the one responsible and so I told Beth I wasn't going to do the closing for them tonight.

Integrity and is NOT A WOMAN OF HER WORD!
Oh, I also contacted the lender and spoke with the LO Mark 1-440-241-0414
and Tracy 1-330-220-3355 ext. 10 is his boss. They were suppose to call me back today, but now it's almost 6pm and I've still not heard from them.

Let them know you are contacting your DA's office for an insufficient fund check. Maybe that will light a fire underneath them. It works for me.

thanks, I will do that, I mean actually contact the DA here, when we were running our business in town in the 15yrs. as dealers, we only had two bad checks, unreal, huh?
both those checks came fromyou'll never believe it) Pastors,
so since it had to do with Automobiles and $1000's of dollars it was not hard at all to go and sign a warrant out on them, I only had to threaten them, I actually did speak to the DA, and they said they'd be thrilled to do it, they hate liars and cheaters as much as we do.
Funny thing in this county/town, when people write bad checks, they publish in the paper.
Name and address of the offender.
So I will call tomorrow, hope you're reading this Erin.

Unfortunately here in FL they will only go after someone for writing you a bad check if you watched them write the check.

Thanks for the info. They were a good company to work for and were paying me regularly until recently. Did a closing for them in late December 2009 in which I never received payment for. Spoke with Dan today and he pretty much told me the same thing you posted here.

I will follow up on them.

I called back to First Ohio Banc and Lending to find out what else I can do to get my money from Erin, spoke with Amel the GM, he said all their work is actually coming from
Direct Settlements, of which I just called there and left a message for a manager by the name
of Nicole Frank the number there is

I would have had this info all ready, since I save all files from closings on my computer, but that computer crashed a few weeks ago and I don't have that info, but it's all coming back to me as I dig further.

I am getting the same run-around for a signing that I completed on 3-6-2010. I have contacted Dan and gotten the same BS excuse - I contacted the loan officer and he advised that the loan funded and closed. Luckily I still have copies of the docs, and I intend to contact the lender and title company to let them know the situation!
I have emailed Dan and Erin several times with no response except "sorry" messages from Dan
All this for a measley $110
