Does anyone have any thoughts on Funeral Homes?
Has anyone ever done them and if so what was your experience?

What do you mean by "done them?"
Do you mean execute a notarization at a funeral home? Had a loved one taken care of by a funeral home?
I don't understand what you are asking.

I closed in a funeral home with a deceased in the next room,
When we all passed the doorway, we made the sign of the Cross. Nothing said.

Re: I closed in a funeral home with a deceased in the next room,
I am not too sure what you would be doing....by the time the person is there it is a little late to notarize their signature. I guess that maybe families may need some documents notarized?
Not to sure that there would be a lot of opportunity there. I imagine that the directors are notaries if they need a lot of things notarized or someone is commissioned that is on their staff. JMO

You are brave ... I just hate anything related to funeral homes no matter I know one day eventually I'll make them a visit.

Well as one previous poster said, most of the Funeral Homes have one member on their staff that is a Notary but it is worth a try!

Almost all FL funeral homes have a notary because
In order to bury a body under state law the funeral director must obtain a "Burial Transit Permit"; these permits are usually obtained from the local Department of Health office; however, the department has the authority to appoint "subregistrars" who work in funeral homes as sort of an in-house health officer authorized to issue burial transit permits.
Funnily enough, one of the requirements to becoming appointed as a subregistrar in a funeral home is that the applicant must be a Florida notary public.
