EC Purchasing - Verizon Discount - may not work out

Based upon the recent information from LSI (perhaps this applies to Bancserv as well), it was a great idea to consider enrolling in the plan and getting a great discount from Verizon. However, after spending time with both Verizon and EC Purchasing on the line here are a few items to consider:

1. The discount was going to be good - 19% from current bill.
2. But, that is if your account is personal and you are using your social security number for the passcode. If you wither are using your EIN or doing this under a business name, you will not be able to get the discount.
3. Unfortunatly, if you convert from a business account to a personal libility account, you may have a few unanticipated problems. As a new agreement is required, you may have to abandon your current calling plan, if it is not now being offered. You will have your credit checked (probably not a problem, but checks against the account may not help your score), if your equipment is under warrenty, it will not be under the new name as they transfer from business to personal (that seems very strange to me if your company still owns the phone). A new one year minimum contract will be required.

My Account is Personal but

My contract ran out 3/1 and I am now on a month to month which I want to keep that way for now. Do you know if I take the discount my account will be under a new contract.
I've been putting off calling them myself because I'm on the phone with them every month arguing about all the extras they try to add to my bill. They've been offering me the sky and the moon (which just means a dicounted phone and probably some new fees that they don't tell me about until after they got me prisoner for another 2 years) if I will just sign up for another year.

Re: My Account is Personal but

They told me that with the change in accounts, I'd have to be in for another year. As you would not need to change, it would seem like you'd have to, but I'd verify it before proceeding.
