E-verify - ran across a Fox News article...
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/02/25/e-verify-misses-half-illegal-workers-report-finds/
or if link doesn't work, google:
FOXNews.com - E-Verify Misses Half of Illegal Workers, Report Finds Source: foxnews.com
...there's a photo matching process that takes place during the e-verification process...so, how can these illegals 'pass' this part of the process, unless the designated agent, who must match up the employees photo with the one DHS has on file for them, is in on the scam?
...wow...

well, found out that the photo matching step occurs
automatically w/in Everify when an employee presents a Perm Resident Card or an Employment Auth Doc...
...will be interesting when the E-Verify system starts using our DMV pics as well....
oh well...

Probably should be posted in "Just Politics". The article
is from Fox (slanted, IMO).

As a Designated E-Verify Agent, I find this article
confusing and misleading. In one paragraph it says the system is right 93% of the time and then elsewhere it states the system is right "almost half of the time".
There are other words used in this article that make me question the motive of its author. For example, "Westat's report...was quietly posted on Homeland Security's Web site Jan. ...". Quietly posted? As opposed to what? Loudly posted? Give me a break!
As long as humans are involved there will be opportunity for error and fraud. I do agree with the conclusion that E-Verify is better than the paper I-9 process.

I'm a Designated Agent as well, and agree w/u Michelle...
I don't normally read articles by Fox authors or even watch "Fox" news, but found this article interesting as it is IMO, in correct....

Perhaps MW you should have responded in "Just Politics" your
reply was completely out of line considering the subject matter and the informaqtion presented. The only thing slanted is your own obvious bias!
