Equifax Settle Services
letter head has 420 Rouser Rd, Airport Office Park, #3, Suite #3, Coraopolis, PA 15108. Fee stated in the letter $45 for signing, lender will all courier charges (How "white" of them!!!!!) In thier app they want 3 references you have worked for. I really don't think they are part of Equifax Credit reporting agency. I did mark thru $45 and put "Negotiable" I was called in reference to a local signing but hey needed my app 1st I gave them my fees before I saw this letter. I will not be holding my breath to get a confirmation on that siging.

To Riley/FL re White
** (How "white" of them!!!!!) Huh?!**
My mother used to say this, and like you, I didn't know what it meant: However a little research shows that the most common use of "mighty white of you" is that it describes someone who thinks they've done a great deed, charitable action or sacr ifice, but in reality they've done very little to help the human condition. Earl: I gave that homeless man my half eaten apple. Roger: Wow, thats mighty white of you.
This is clearly what A S Johnson/TX meant in his/her post.
It could also be considered a foolish phrase used by some putzes to show so-called white superiority - a phrase attributed to the South and coined during days of slavery and now sometimes said in a sarcastic manner to people who act as they are superior because of their race. Bob threw a nickle into the UNICEF can at the office, and said "Those people should be glad I felt so generous." I said to him "That's mighty white of you ass."
I personally like the possible use to describe actions or behavior stereotypically attributed to uppity caucasian elitists: "That was mighty white of you to help with the charity ball." Sounds very peerage/British in origin to me - something you'd hear on 'Masterpiece Theater."

I received a call from them last Monday for a closing next Tuesday the 9th. He quoted $45 for o/n docs and $70 for edocs. "Are those fees acceptable?" Of course I told him, "No," quoted my fee, received the "I'll call back if I can get that approved" answer I expected, but got no return call, though not surprised. I was surprised, however, when I checked them out in signing central and they have a 5 star rating and comments that say they "pay well" and fast. If that is considered paying well, then I quit.

Never have a problem with Equifax Settlement Service. Always met my fee which is about three times what you were quoted. Check can be expected in about two weeks.

I really think some of these fees are state and location specific. I hope, but do not expect, that I can routinely command the fees that an LA notary with all their training can ask for. CA notaries have to jump through a lot of hoops to get and keep commissions, MD and other states also have extra steps to take. $40 are Pizza delivery fees though.
