I need a very good laser dual tray printer

I looked through previous responses but was confused with the responses. I am new to Notary Rotary and in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Thanks

I just bought a new Samsung 4050. It's a workhorse and love that 125 page packages print out in minutes!

I just bought an HP 2055D plus the extra tray from HP for $475. I added a 3 year service agreement with next business dasy replacement for an additional $60 for a total of $535. However, there is a rebate program where you send them back any old printer, working or not, and they send you a rebate of $85.

I got 2 hp 4200's off of a craigslist buyer for $120 each. They are solid and fast workhorses that only need a toner change after they tear through 2 cases of paper. I suggest if you are new to this business to look on craigslist to see if you can pickup a dual tray in descent condition.

Will mail laser tray if you pay postage.

My beloved workhorse HP 1320 of six years finally died recently.

Tears all around at my house, including ghost tears from my invisible friends.

Lucky - if you happen to get a HP 1320 and want a legal tray for almost-free, I will send it to you if you send me postage $ beforehand.

If you are reading this post and would love to free/buy my tray and you are not the OP (original poster), PM me.

AND

If you are reading this post and want to free/postal$/buy my deceased HP 1320 just for replacement parts and stand-by toner cartridge, PM me.

PAW will win if he happens to see this post, has no need for above, and PMs me /whatever by next Friday.

We notaries on NotRot super ALL owe PAW!

He is flippin wonderful and hugely generous. (ya ya, I know. Preachin' to the choir here.)

Thank you everyone for all your responses on my first day with Notary Rotary and all your help. I have a Brother MFC 8440 laser printer that has worked great for six years but it is not a dual tray so that is why I was asking about the latest dual tray printers. It is time for a new printer and I didn't know where to start looking for a laser dual tray printer. The Brother lets me print either legal or letter so I print legal and cut down with a paper cutter, pages that should be letter size. It takes up too much time when loans are 100+ plus pages. Thanks again all. Lucky

Re: I need a very good laser dual tray printer - Too

It looks like my beloved Dell 1950dn is on its way to printer heaven. I will miss it as I truly love everything about it. I must look into this HP 4200. I trust the representations of my fellow notaries.

Prosperity you loved your dell????

My Dell was so horrible, I literally tore it apart with my hands!

That thing made me swear worse than a sailor and if I ever hear the Dell "beep beep beep" I go into an anxiety attack.\

Love my HP 4100 but my brother has the HP 4200, and he thinks he's cooler than me but my toner refills are only $80 for 4 HIGH yield cartridges.

Oh how much trouble that dell was....Frown

Why would you cut down legal to letter?

I used single tray printers for seven years and always just printed all on legal (except when the attachments were separated into letter and legal). It's a waste of time to cut it down.
Now that I have an extra tray for my 1320, it's great to save money.

Re: Why would you cut down legal to letter?

Once you try dual tray, you never go back! Saves you time and $$$, especially for those last minute e-docs....

Re: Why would you cut down legal to letter?

Hi cadmonkey,

Does your dual tray printer automatically select if it is a letter size or legal size paper in a mixed size paper loan? Am I nuts but I thought this is possible. I just spent $326.99 on a Brother HL5370DW that I was told would do this. I just set it up and now Brother tells me it doesn't do that and I can't get my money back. Also, I asked for a supervisor and they said one would have to call me back.

Not so lucky with Brother.
