Interesting signing last night.
The borrower, who has a purple heart from the Korean War, told us that his father fought with Pancho Villa.

I did the sibling of a Tuskegee airman (he was there, wanted to know if I knew what I was doing LOL) he was very sharp. I felt honored.

I once did a RM signing for
a woman who was one of the first to breach the barrier of the former man school, now known as Texas A&M. I looked at her scrapbook. I only wished I could have stayed longer and heard more of her story, but she had a bedridden daughter in her 60's who had crippling arthritis and I could tell she was weary and needed to attend to her charge. That woman was one of the bravest souls I'd ever met.
We do get to meet some of the unsung heroes or hear first accounts of their stories through close companions, don't we?
What a wonderful story about the Tuskegee Airman's brother, James.
