Landsel Title Agency, Gahanna, OH

I don't know if this is a title company or not. I did a job for them on January 21 where I was to sign the husband and send the docs to Texas for the wife to sign. Did that.

Was asked to send an invoice and W-9 back with package. Because it was not going directly to the company, I declined and instead emailed those docs to the contact at Landsel.

Last week, well past the 30 days I usually wait, I contacted them to find out the status of my payment. I was told that I must send them my invoice and W-9. I was not at my computer, so did not remember that I had already sent them, but commented that if that was in their instructions, then I had already done so. Missy would check and call me back.

I did not receive a call back last week. Over the weekend, as I was reviewing my folders to clean out docs for which I've been paid, I ran across the email correspondence and contacted them again. After being put on hold for 10 minutes, I was told that "the President" did not send a check, but has been informed that mine is an old invoice. When I asked when I could expect payment, I did not receive a definite answer. So I commented that if I didn't receive it by the end of this week (Monday to Friday), I would be sending another invoice with a late payment fee.

I'll keep you informed.

I've done several signings for them. Sometimes pays in 15 - 30 days, sometimes over 60 days. But they do pay. These days I'll take what they send my way.

I've done several for them; never a problem, usually about 14 days to pay.

Ive only done a couple for them, but they seemed on the up and up. Professional and easy to work for. Paid as agreed. Maybe this is just a fluke incident.

Did you check in Signing Central? There seem to be other complaints like yours.

I did signing for them recently (2/19) and have already been paid. They seem to be very interested and involved in the closing, providing good contact information and great follow up. I'd do as many signings for them but here in Seattle, I've only had the chance to complete 2 so far. I'd put them on my favorable list!

I worked with them Feb 13 and was paid within 10 days. Very easy to work with nice communications, small package and met my fee!

After I had commented yesterday, my husband went to our post office box and there was a check from Landsel. Apparently the check was mailed last week, but Missy was not informed.

In order to be fair, I apologize if this created problems for anyone. I do not refuse my services to a company based on one incident, and am willing to work with them again.
