Re: National Loan Closings - "Motivation to earn extra cash"
What fee are you offering for loan closings (refinance or purchase)?
I don't do loan closings to earn "extra cash," I do it as a profession to earn a living.

The two biggest flags for me?
Asking specifically about NNA background checks.... and the bit about "motivation to earn extra cash" in the post.
They might as well have posted a big neon sign.....

Oh, dear....
"Non-expired notary stamp and license" --- well, duh to the non-expired part, and 'licenses' don't exist, so good luck with that.
"Access to a laser printer...." yup, duh. That's like telling a plumber to have a wrench or pliers.
"Ability to pay attention to details" -- You mean like knowing the difference between a notarial commission and a license?
"Motivation to earn extra cash" -- as if this is a side job hobby? Nice attitude, considering this is a full-time business for a lot of us. Our motivation isn't extra cash, but the ability to keep sthe lights on and feed our families.
"Friendly attitude" -- oops, maybe not this time

I get the mass mailing from them for closings in my area and have never signed up with them to my knowledge. They offer 75 for email docs.. Haven't accepted one yet.

FYI for prospective signing services... for $75/e-docs, you get a redraw.

Yup…another one….No experience…No knowledge…No capital……. How to get rich in today’s down market? Start a Signing Company, and get a whole bunch of fools to work for you for free and finance your operation. It’s easy, all you need is a cell phone and (optional) a web site.

Re: couldn't resist....
So I downloaded their application. They state that they have a network of loan closers throughout the entire United Stated of American.
The compensation states no invoice required from the closer and they pay for work from the 25th of the month to 25th of the current month. Their examaple states: "Closings is done between the 25th of December to 25th of January, payment will be made on the 30th of February".
I called was told that all their notaries accept payment terms up to 60 days. My concern is payments of the 30th of February.
The whole presentation from the web site to the agreement is childish and sloppy. As a professional I'm offended by them. They probably get a bunch of newbies willing to do an edoc closing for $60 and then wait 60 days for payment. We don't need any more SS firms like this.
Just my opinion.

NLC payment terms ... per their paperwork ..60+ days - LOL
Signed up, hey it's slow and you never know. However, once I received their information package that included their payment terms, I promptly called and asked them to take me off their list.
<<"National Loan Closings will make payments once per month on all orders completed within the time frame of the 25th to the 25th of the month prior. Example (Closings complete between the 25th of December and the 25th of January will be paid on the 30th of February)">>
OK, besides the obvious, that any loan closed between Dec 25th and Jan 25th will never be paid (anyone know what year Feb 30th falls on LOL) They automatically show 60+ days to pay? Seriously??

Re: NLC payment terms ... per their paperwork ..60+ days - LOL
Sounds an awful lot like SOX's contract. Then what they claim month after month that they never received your invoices. How benevolent of this company, we get to pay for the supplies, transportation costs, and equipment useage and then give them 60+ day interest free loans. Wonder if they have that neat little clause that SOX added about not receiving invoices after so many days you don't get paid at all.

Re: NLC payment terms ... per their paperwork ..60+ days - LOL
DTF - exactly, I don't think they would even approve my fee of $250+ for loans for Net60 companies. And that's only for loans 5 min away, it goes up for longer distances and I add late fees if not paid as agreed.
Didn't want to even bother to find out that 65-75 days later I've done charity work. LOL

well my son just reminded me that the Muslims, Jews and Asians have a different calendar than we do ... should we go check? After all their docs do not disclose where our checks would be mailed from

Mailed from IA I would assume (yes, yes, I know0 which means they are on the other side of the river from me. The ferry might not run but once a month or so, that is the reason for the delay.
For the Western states, they are looking for the Oregon Trail, still not located. For you Texans and other from them there parts, you have to wait for the sh!t to run down hill. Since it doesn't got uphill, the rest of the country is out of luck.
Oh, well...

Once I saw 60+ days I got off the train. Thought it was also funny that SA's are required to proof the docs "two times before adjourning borrower's home." Someone should tell their proofreader that before getting their docs out for SA's to sign.

couldn't resist and called them
and asked them what they meant by a *copy of my license* (wording taken from their app) as I was commissioned! The guy replied to me that some States Commission and others License ... but it is the same thing ...
Now how come they are nowhere to find in a repertory?

You are asking for notaries but you should also tell them that you do not pay!!!! I did a signing in early July that I have not been paid for!
