Powering mobile office question

Has anyone ever used a portable battery power pak instead of an inverter/generator/whatever to power a portable printer? Seems like a great idea - too great, in fact, which is why I'm asking. These power paks more than meet printer wattage requirements, are rechargeable at home, then you take them with you in whatever car you're using for printer/copier use. Mostly I think they're used by campers to run a small TV, power the crock pot or tent heater - or by construction types to run power tools. But why not a printer? Since they are a totally independent power source, you don't have to hard wire to your car's battery... TIA!

I think there is an issue with using a laser printer with a power pak. Before buying the pure sine inverter I investigated using the power pak and was told it may burn up the laser printer.
The inverter was expensive but paid for itself in one week and gave me peace of mind not having to run back to my office for loan packages.
