ServiceLink/Vision Global Solutions - 1099's duplicated????

Has anyone else been double 1099'd through them? I was just reconciling and noticed that ServiceLink sent me one and then Vision Global Solutions sent one with the same $$. They have the same address and are both referencing my account# with them. They do have different Federal ID#'s; hopefully I can get this rectified easily!

Service Link sent me two, but there was no mention of 'Vision Global Solutions' on either. I am just assuming that it was a double printing, not that they are saying I made twice what I actually did.

Mine was reported under two different company Fed ID Number#

So that means each "company" has reported my income.

Don't assume anything, Ed

If they sent you two, that means two got reported to IRS...so yes, if you only did one job for them but received two 1099's, unless one is marked "Duplicate" or "Corrected" then they've reported two to the IRS.....you need to get that straight or IRS will be contacting you eventually about unreported income.

I'd get that advice from them in writing for your records and future reference...call me anal but I want to be able to prove somewhere down the road they admitted it was their mistake and that 1099 was n/g....I wouldn't trust the word of someone on the phone to hold during an audit...

But that's me..
