Thank you NATIONAL LENDER
For getting the documents so late to me on Friday night that I was not one, not two, but THREE hours past the appointment time that was set almost a week prior to the closing. When you get the docs out late the title co & then to me so late, it doesn't make anyone look bad but YOU. Not only did I have to wipe the egg off of your face, I turned down two closings as I waited for your docs. Grrrrr....

I would have taken the other appointments as well
If docs are so late that they force the closing to be pushed back, then that closing goes to the back of the line.

It's difficult not to feel responsible for following through on a commitment to do a job; however, I've found in these instances (when the documents are exceedingly late) quite often the signing is canceled. This is *really* annoying.

Yep, the closing gets canceled. And then they will call another notary the following day, ask them to backdate the docs because the previous notary "didn't show up last night".
