The Notary Biz- bounced check

Just to let everybody know that I received a bad check from the Notary Biz due to insufficient funds. They are based in San Clemente, CA.

Has anybody had the same problem with them?

No! I never worked for them, thank heaven. They better not call me. Keep after them and keep faxing them. They will get tired of it and pay you, hopefully.

I had a funny feeling about the check I got Friday.....

It was a check from a signing I did in December. The only reason they sent me one is because I sent them a copy of the Small Claims form I was going to file in 7 business days if I did not receive payment.

I cashed it Friday but thought to myself that I better keep an eye on my online banking to see if it bounces. I hope not.

Same co. as listed in SC as a Lake Forest, CA location???

If so, you ought to post this info in Signing Central.
If not, you ought to add this co. to signing central & link this post.

Did a signing for them back in January and have not received payment. Upon further investigation they send me a copy of my alleged check that was mailed to me and it has been signed cashed by someone else. Company has told me oh well, and basically accused me of having forged it. They have no plans to find out why the heck their bank allowed a check to go through that had no deposit account number on it, and no bank stamping for the casher's bank. Seems fishy to me now that you post this. I file against them in court this Friday.

Just spoke to the Notary Biz, they made a big deposit and Bank of America put a hold on their account. They are going to send me a check asap. Thanks for the support.

Notary Biz is in CA and you are in NJ. It takes 2 - 5 days for mail to get from CA to the east coast. I wonder how long the hold was put on the check and why the hold didn't expire during the mailing time? Since BOA is national, I would take the replacement check to BOA before depositing to make sure it's good.
