I got paid today
I got paid today for two closings from January. The check was cut 2/1 and mailed on 3/26.
thankfully, I have been able to get regular status updates with them. My rule with them is no more than eight closings pending payment at a time. I decline all other work until they catch up.
Good luck!
Jessica

I do work for them, get paid well and have never had a problem with payment, it does take a little while but always get paid about 30-45 days out.

Patty, I declined one from them today as well (and last Friday too). I told the scheduler that due to payment issues I cannot except any more assignments from them right now. The polite response from him? "OK, I understand." Geez, they are not even fighting it anymore. Sorry, I do not work for free!

It really makes you think....
do I want to perform a signing and not get paid for 90+ days? I really do not like working and knowing that I will not receive payment for that long of a period. I know there are people who argue that as long as the pipeline of payments is full...what does it matter? Well, I declined a signing too last week. BOA on EOM and it was a little farther away.....after weighing all the variables....it did not make sense to me to wait on docs, stress out, print a hideously large and nonsensical BOA package, drive a far distance, deal with extra time at the table for the large package; and hope to get paid by August. Not to mention, my luck would have been over $10K in closings fees and the borrowers needing to give me a check for $5K that they had no idea about!!! JMO
