You telling me you don't own a time-travel machine?
I often think they think we do~~ "Docs are ready, appointment at 7...can you do it?" Nooo, it's 8:30 here now.

No problem...if the docs have today's date pre-printed, you've got until 11:59PM to do the signing, as I'm sure you know. Setting expectations with the borrower is the most important. Have a wonderful, stress-free day!

Wow! If the SS/TC sets the signing time, I must have the Docs 1 1/2 hours before or I tell them to call BWR and reschedule. I f I set the appt time, I call BWR and discuss delay and try to reach an alternate time to sign. At this stage of the game the BWR just wants to get it done ASAP. IMO

Last week in the middle of a snowstorm and just coming home for a nearby closing I got a call at 9pm for a 10:30pm closing about 12 miles up the hill (thank goodness for the good old 1998 Jeep) ... called the customer to make sure this was OK because never had such a late one before ... not only was the customer told I was on my way (had not received the docs yet) but she had been waiting for me since 2pm! Took the email with me that confirmed the booking after 9pm! Well I went out anyways as she was leaving on vacation the next day and got there close to 11pm as the docs got to me at 10:08pm!!!!

I can relate. I'm sitting here at 2:43 pm for a 3:00 appt.
It burns me more these days, because volume is down & I don't see that they have an excuse for last minute docs. It is what it is, and we adjust accordingly. We're due another Nor'easter, and I will be running around in the rain & wind again.

Please please please pretty please keep the Nor'easter in VA ... can't deal with another one here in PA ... The Poconos are just horrible for closings when the weather is really bad!

Better yet...I think there is some oil I keep for the small miracles we are supposed to perform...lol. I think sometimes we need to post a "Here's your sign" around some necks.

I love those....I once had a SS call me and ask if I could do a signing in Granite City at 2:30 pm. It was 3:10 pm, and I had just started my car in the driveway of a borrower's home I was leaving in Granite City so I asked if the borrowers had the docs with them. No, you will need to print them and be there by 2:30pm. I tried to explain that it would be impossible for me to be there at 2:30pm since it was after 3pm now and could they change the time to a little later so I could print the docs and drive back. No, signing time cannot be changed. Here's your sign!

Re: what did you do?
i said i could do the signing as soon as I printed and could get there the l.o. said the borrower cancelled. their loss or maybe they (l.o.) blamed it on me and hired another NSA Thats what I think
