Baton Rouge area.....CAUTION!

This is to serve as notice of risk in accepting signings from Pacific Document Signings, Inc.
They called late one evening as they were in desparate need of a notary for a 9pm signing that day. We agreed on a fee and I was advised I would receive payment in three weeks.

Well, you are probably way ahead of me here. They haven't sent payment as of this date for the March 25th signing. Not only that, while thinking I would receive the payment in three weeks, I accepted several other signings.

After allowing extra time for the payment to arrive, I finally contacted them by email and was advised they would address it immediately. After ample time had passed I again contacted them, by phone this time and was told they didn't have an invoice for that one. I faxed an invoice for all the signings and received a call that they didn't receive the one I was originally questioning. I sent it a second time. They said they would be in touch. Then days passed with no calls or emails.

After several other calls and emails etc, I eventually receive a check. But, it was for the second signing I did for them. The original signing and the others still have not been paid.

Well I could go on but I think you get the message. I SUGGEST YOU REJECT ANY SIGNING REQUEST FROM PACIFIC DOCUMENT SIGNING, INC.

Maybe if there are no notaries available to them in the Baton Rouge area, they will decide to make payments as promised.

Not sure if you are a premier member or not, (or even if you need to be), but if you are a member with access to signing central; your first step should always be to do a search here, on any company that you are unfamiliar with. You would have learned enough to avoid this situation. Signing Central is your friend.
ps. there a multiple companie with similar names, please state the location and or contact for this particular company, so that all will be aware of exactly which company you are referring to. You should also link your post to the exact company in signing central.

I was about to state the same thing. It is sad to here notaries getting stiffed but even sadder to know information is available about these companies and people are not taking advantage of it. I DON'T do anything without checking here or posting here first. JMO

or.....they know about it and take the risk away and then post a complaint after getting stiffed or having to wait months for their money.

CAUTION! (Everywhere)

I'm really sorry you got burned, Rick. but join the club. PDS (Paul Gambs) has been cheating notaries for years. You don't have to access SC to know what scumbags they are. You could have used the orange search button - there's been a steady flow of complaints about them on Notary Talk going back to the days they crawled out of their primordial sleaze. I understand they pay some notaries through PayPal, though.

Re: CAUTION! (Everywhere) While I am not PGambs fan

I don't think this is his company. The name is different. And, there is one in Signing Central by the name the OP mentioned.
