Fairfax Signings/Integrity Escrow -- UPDATE
Back in January, I posted about Fairfax refusing to pay a signing fee. If you follow the entire thread (and it was LONG), there were several suggestions to file charges and contact several entities. Well, I did file with several resources. I also wrote to their attorney of record -- never heard from him even though letter was sent certified return receipt (and he received it).
Then, early April I receive a call from Fairfax requesting a signing. Turned out to be for original principles. I told them they still owed me for first signing and would not work with them. They assured me I would be paid as soon as it closed. Still refused -- all very politely and civil.
Well, I received check for full amount 2 days ago. It's been deposited and I hope it clears.
Further, a signing service I work with quite often also does work for them. After advising this ss that charges were pending and I could not take any signings for Integrity, the ss accepted to not offer me any of Integrity's signings and our relationship remains intact. Notary ASAP and its owner, Velvet Sexton, are truly great to work with!
Anyone considering working with Fairfax/Integrity Escrow, just be aware you may not be paid if loan does not close. I did this signing on 12/1/09 and received payment 5/5/10 -- that only over 6 months and only because it finally closed. Whew  !!!
