Filling in the down time

Since quitting my dreadful 9 to 5, I am looking at other opportunities to earn $$ to complement my signing agent biz. Do any of you have experience with shadowshoppers.com? It looks legit, just wanted your thoughts... Thank's!

I have always been very skeptical of these type of jobs being offered and think you really have to proceed with caution. Some of these "opportunities" require you to pay something up front and that is where I would draw the line. Never pay anyone to work for them or to get "further information" about employment.

I mystery shopped for about a year.   Although I liked it, the money isn't much at all. Hardly worth it. If you can get 4,5,6 shops really close together on the same day, you might make it. But, that is very hard to do.

I haven't worked with ShadowShoppers but I've done

plenty of Mystery Shopping. If you search here on NotaryRotary using "mystery" as your search word you'll see some good discussions. Go the the MSPA website and search their discussion forums for information on this company.

Mystery shopping helped me get thru 2008- psychologically as well as providing a little $. It is like signing companies, in order to make it work-you need to sign up with many of them. As was mentioned before. Do not pay to sign up with them. I originally paid 29.00 to get a list of companies and it was worth spending that money. You may want to open a separate email account for this. You will get a ton of emails ( job offers)

My experience with mystery shopping is:

maybe you get a little (very little) extra money, but mostly it could be a meal in a restaurant (which you don't really get to enjoy because you are so busy trying to remember every little detail) or a stay in a hotel.
One thing that's better is marketing research. Companies pay nice money for focus groups, taste tests, etc.
