Friendly reminder- get it in writing!!!!

I have a had a couple of changes to orders and failed to get it in writing for one of them. It came back to bite....not hard but still a bite. The second one was supposedly all the "stupid notaries" fault....not after forwarding them the email that was sent to me changing signing time and location.

Do yourself a favor and always.....get it in writing!!!!!!!!!!

I agree CF 100%. Just a couple weeks ago I accepted an order for a very late (11pm) last minute closing. They offered a higher fee. But, when confirmation came it was for my standard fee. I immediately called and they "forgot" to add the additonal fee in. I told her to send a new confirmation. If you wait, even a day, they will never remember or know who authorized the higher fee.

I've even told them I won't go out until I've received the corrected confirmation. They usually respond promptly.
