I know packages are getting larger, but really?

Got an order for a reverse mortgage that has 287 pages - for ONE set! WTH could they possibly absolutely have to have that is increasing the packages by more than 130-150 pages?

Perhaps it was the application along with the final package...that the only thing that would add up to that amount. Also, it may have included two of those "discover RV" disclosures that you're only suppose to print once? The one's I've done are usually 150 to 175.

There was a duplicate 128 pg file - but I was told to print

both of them. I don't see any application other than the normal final one.

Ready for the crazy part, I notified SS that I have printed all docs, then 25 min later received an email from the LO that the BO is not ready to close because she has had recently had a stroke (a few weeks ago!) and is still in recovery.

Re: you're going be at that signing for hours!

I know reverse mtgs normally take a little longer, but for any lender to ask a 62+ yr old to sit and sign over 250 pgs is beyond ridiculous IMO.

I had a FHA refi at 250+ pages and a RM at 88 pages. No two loans are alike and who knows why one is 250+ pages and the other less than 100 pages.

The loan I had that was that large was a purchase and

was a matter of sloppy scanning....I had duplicates, triplicates and quadruplicates of many documents....I actually questioned the company about it...they said lender prepares docs, sends to "somebody" who prints, adds their docs, scans again and send to title, who prints, adds their docs, scans again (and in the process duplicating many) and sends them again...sort of like the old snowball game.

I got them all signed since it's not my call to decide what's not necessary (good thing they were paying a good fee!!!)...that one had 28 notarizations....the borrowers took one look at the size of the package and said "okay, start flipping!!"...we did, me talking all the time .... finished in 90 minutes.

Check your package but I'd bet it's a case similar to mine...many many multiple copies of the same doc...most not necessary but who are we to decide?

Sloppy scanning.

Sometimes they include the borrowers pkg. behind the lenders pkg.

Yes, I also see the same thing but as someone stated before....I just get them ALL signed. It does seem like double duty to me though.

With one of the files duplicated, I thought that is what

happened here. But no, they wanted both 128 pg files printed for the original set.

I said above in another post:

With 287 pages, were they trying to put her back in the hospital? I know every loan is different, but I see people get nervous at 130 pg set of docs. And their in their 30's & 40's.

Re: With one of the files duplicated, I thought that is what

I just had a boa with four signers. There was 175 pages to the package. 7 tils and 2 affiliated business arrangement disclosure. Seemed odd but, I had them sign all. I didn' t have time to call them about it.
Next time I will.
