Memorial Day...
Let's NOT forget that Memorial Day is about honoring our brothers and sisters that have courageously died for OUR country. We also give honor and THANKS for those soldiers that are joining and are currently serving in the military. May God continue to bless YOU, & your families. Take the time & send these soldiers, regardless of your political views, a prayer and a THANK YOU, for serving our country with pride.

Thank you, yes, let's pray for our country and the honorable men and women who are serving us in the armed forces across the globe. My nephew, Major Scott Conway is serving in USMC Afghanistan and pray he will be home in a couple of months save and sound. All my prayers and thoughts with the thousands of people serving us now and those who have served. Our American flag flies in my front yard! Home of the free and land of the brave.

Thank you, Cari. It is a far more than a day to sleep late.
While we are remembering our soldiers fighting overseas, let us also pay a moment of homage to the generation just before me, The Greatest Generation, who truly truly kept us free by winning the most convulsive war the world has ever known, World War II. They were magnificent men, and those who remain with us deserve our unwavering gratitude.
Have a safe holiday, everyone, out there in the purple mountain majesties and amber waves of grain.

Sylvia just posted in Leisure that our members of the armed forces get discounts all year with their ID's at Home Depot (10%).
Personally, I think she should have posted where it would get the best exposure, right here, so here goes again with my OT. I can deal with a temporary suspension if it comes to that....LOL.

Not just Home Depot, Lowes gives the 10% discount all year round as well.

Thanks for the info. I am a veteran and I had no idea. We get 10% off at Walgreens on Tuesdays also.
