Is anyone getting paid by NREIS? They are crying poor mouth to me.

Haven't worked for them in awhile...took a job yesterday afternoon form 8 am this morning. Of course, 7:45 am, still no docs. Leave 2 messages for the settlement officer...no call back. Finally get ahold of someone "oh, I guess we'll have to reschedule". When they call back, new fee to do that signing will be $150...especially if I have to wait 45-60 to get paid like it looks like from other posts in the forums!

I just received a check from them yesterday for a March 3 signing (check dated 3/15). I had been bugging them about it. NREIS had been calling me several times a week to do their closings, and I told them I wouldn't take any more assignments until I was paid for this one! Perhaps that's why they paid me. Either way, I still won't be taking any more work from them until they get their payment issues resolved.

I have two invoices that are 60 days old and two that are 30 days old. I think that we will stop taking their assignments. Too much trouble chasing after payments. Too bad they were a good company.

OMG, I should have looked at previous post. I had the same problems with them.

I quit taking their work when they fell behind. I always look at falling behind as a company in trouble and you will get stuck eventually.

Glenn, I'm with you. I was surprised reading one thread a little while back when NREIS issued a bunch of checks for jobs done several months prior - I was surprised how many people said they would happily continue taking jobs from them now that they were paying. To me, that looks like a real gamble. Definitely seems like there is some issue going on with this company, and I hope that a bunch of notaries do not get left holding the bag like they did with EFS.

This has been an issue with this company since Dec 09 and there have been numerous threads on this company and you still took closings from them? I got paid in full for closings I completed in Nov, Dec, & Jan at the end of March and beginning of April. I quit taking their closings because I refuse to wait 3 to 6 months to get paid, I'm not a bank, nor do I have the resources of one.

They owe me from Feb and March. I called last week and asked them for my payments which goes back from Feb. The girl in charge said that She will look into this meanwhile I you don't want accept any signing, it is ok with us. They called today and they wanted me to accept a signing, I told them as long as old account is not paid, I will not accept any signing from you.

Just got a call back re: the signing that was supposed to happen this morning and got cancelled at the last minute...it was rescheduled for 6pm tonight. I said OK...I'll do it for my normal fee of $125. Reply--"you accepted for this for $90" I say, "Yes, and now I've an empty morning and what if I get another job for tonight that is willing to pay my normal fee?"
"OK, I'll find somebody else" click...

Don't waste your time... or even second guess an assignment from NREIS. I am SO done with them!!!!! In addition to the e-doc nightmares they LOVE to put you through, they're payment history is PATHETIC. I just received a check yesterday, May 6, from 2 assignments completed at the beginning of February. (Feb 2 and 4th to be exact.) The checks were dated March 1, 2010. Why am I just NOW receiving payment for these... in MAY!? What is THAT about!?
They called me again TODAY for a closing... of course I told them "NO WAY!!" The guy on the phone didn't sound very surprised at all. GET IT TOGETHER, NREIS!! PAY ON TIME and maybe.. just maybe... notaries would be HAPPY to work for you. I am not even lifting my finger to answer the phone for them until I hear MUCH MORE POSITIVE things about them... which will probably be NEVER.

They are slow pay. I really don't appreciate being put off and told they need the money or their clients are slow pay. Its really insulting when you figure we are just grunts out in the field doing their work and get paid whenever. Companies like this make dog grooming look good.

NREIS 90 days plus
They are slow, 90 days plus. I completed the last closing with them on 23 Feb. 2010 and finally received payment on 3 May.
