National Vendor Solutions - Beware
National Vendor Solutions called me to do a signing and I said my fee of $125 and they asked if I could do it for $100. I said no I charge $125 and they agreed. Later on they called me and said it got cancelled only to find out they hired my friend for the same signing instead for $110.
I think that is so lame of them to tell me the loan got cancelled when that was not the case. They could have at least told me they would have to get my fee approved and call me back instead of lying about it.
By the way they also called my friend last night and cancelled it with her and the last signing she did for them when she got to the borrowers house there was already another notary there and they have still not paid her for the trip fee.

Stick to your guns and always be polite and understanding!
I just got a call to do a BofA refi for $100. It is close by and $100 is fine with me but it was one of those that requires entire package to be faxed back. This came from a company that I like working with and I know the difficulty they face trying to get these scheduled for the price that they need to pay.
I stuck to my guns on my fee and was told he would "run it through title". I called him back and told him that I understood what he was going through and that I was pretty sure he would be able to find someone else so don't worry about calling me back.
While I am writing this he called back and agreed to my fee! Whoopee! Stick to your guns ladies and gentlemen!!!!!!

They stuck me for a print fee & then haven't called me since. These are large packages, usually VA refi's, you can't call the borrower, and it's tough to get them to pay you if it's a no-sign. I know business is tough, but IMO these deals are usually more aggravation than they are work.
