My humble Prayer:
Dear Soldier:
May God Bless you and keep you, and may each night bring you some Peace, and may each dawn bring you some Hope.
May you have the strength to share that Peace and foster that Hope, so that Peace and Hope may yet flourish in all lands.
Dear Soldier, although the heat of the day from that fiery sky seems unrelenting, and you think you cannot take another breath without burning, may the cool breeze from a Guardian Angel's Wings touch your cheek, and remind you of God’s Love.
Dear Soldier, may God's own breath cool your brow, and may you meditate often upon His Goodness and Light, even as you suffer the horrors of war.
Dear Soldier, may that searing sun guide your eyes, your ears, and your gut - and feed your Awareness, your Intuition, your Instincts to keep you safe.
Dear Soldier, may the place you are in be the better for your having been there; and may you feel the love and thankfulness of your Nation, like some chilly wind upon your face; every second, every minute, every long hour you are away from us.
We pray, Lord, that your Light shows each and every Soldier the pathway home.
Amen.
