I will not work for him ever again

I did a job for him in Jan. He took 49 days to pay, DID NOT pay as agreed. He signed a payment agreement with me that payment would be received no later than 30 days from date of job, if not paid as agreed late charges would be added. He lied about sending the agreement back to me, but finally did.

They would not answer my emails nor respond to my updated invoices. When I did finally speak to him, he did not want to discuss the payment agreement and even admitted that he just signed it with no intention of following the terms (in other words, HE LIED JUST TO GET THE ASSIGNMENT DONE) He told me that my payment had already been sent out in the mail that day (yea right) but he did think he could get it back if I wanted him to pay me via PayPal. Since I doubt my payment was anywhere near the outgoing mail, I agreed to accept PayPal (at least then I knew I would have the money). He did actually do something he said he would and paid me via PayPal quickly but would not pay the agreed to late fees.

I will not work for him again, especially since I caught him, personally, in at least 3 different lies to me on this assignment alone. I had not worked for him in a year or two and when he called, he met my fee so I thought I would give him another shot. Well he shot himself in the foot with me on this one. I told him to remove my name from his list.

I did receive a call within a few days from a "Vista Closings" for a signing. It went to voice mail,so I plugged the number in to see who called -- It showed up as Pacific Document Services number. Needless to say, the call was not returned.

I know he reads this board and am willing to make my copies of my emails and the agreement he signed public if he wishes me to. Otherwise, I'll just leave it at what I have stated above.

I've done some loan mods for him & our arrangement was payment via PayPal.
It is an arrangement that works just fine.

Oh, since he does read this, maybe he will see this message. Hi Paul, I gave you a second chance by taking on another assignment, after you took forever to pay me last year. I thought you had changed and gotten your act together, perhaps not?? Please send my check or I will continue to converse on here. Tina

If you already knew his payment history why did you bother to accept another assignment from him? I'm personally not interested in reading more about someone with collection issues wen they have previous knowledge of a company's payment issues and can use the orange search button to help them make an intelligent decision. If it were news about another company to give a heads up that would be different - but to have the same old news posted week after week is ridiculous

Well, I am a really nice person, and believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, and I haven't been on here week after week, it was over a year ago, and like I said I thought maybe he had gotten it together

Watch out for these services performing in this manner, it's a sure sign that the end is eminent and you may not get paid at all.

I did a very last minute signing on 2/26 and still have not been paid. He said check is in the mail 3 times. After waiting for a check I called last week, left a message with Tonja he didn't call back. I then sent an email yesterday morning and he hasn't responded. I also gave him the benefit of the doubt because I did work for him in the past and was paid. I always save docs and emails from escrow so I will contact them by the end of this week if the check is not in my mail. I know there is nothing escrow will do for me but they need to know the signing company they are using is not paying the notaries, it is so disappointing.
